John C. “Bucky” Egan, Original 100th, was Commander of
the 418th
and at one time Air – Exec. Egan died in 1977. Not enough is known
of this Original 100th veteran |

Albert M. “Bucky” Elton, one of three "Buckies" in the group. He was
Original 100th and later became group operations officer.
Elton led the group to Berlin on 06 Mar 44. This was the well known
mission 250. |

Jerome E. Ferroggiaro, a professional soldier. Ferroggiaro fought in
the Philippines in the 1930s, with the Abraham Lincoln Brigade
during the Spanish civil war, and with the 100th in WWII.
His crew were shot down on the 08 Oct 43 Bremen mission becoming a
POW. He died at this home near Phoenix, AZ in the mid-nineties |

George E. Flanagan – 351st ROG – Completed his combat
tour 16 Sept 1943 with the Bordeaux. Flanagan was a member of the
Glen Dye crew, first 100th crew to complete a combat
tour. |

William H. Fletcher –
One of the groups most charismatic members. His aircraft were all
named “FLETCHER'S CASTORIA”. Lost on the 21 Feb 44
Brunswick mission and became a POW.
One of Fletchers favorite pastimes was shooting flies on the
ceiling of his hut. He married a beautiful English girl soon after
