Hi Mike. I posted a Happy Veteran's Day message with a picture of my father on this site. Deb Dalton responded and said her uncle, Ward Dalton was also in the 349th and was KIA September '43. We messaged back and forth and determined that Ward Dalton was navigator and was sitting next to my father in the nose of Damdifino II when it was shot down over the North Sea on a practice mission! Amazingly small world made smaller by the internet and sites like this. BTW, I don't know if you knew but I was contacted by a historian from Europe who told me that a Luftwaffe ace named Franz Ruhl claimed Damifino II on September 24, 1943. Bob Don (son of Theodore Don)
