Crash: Destroyed by flak just after bombs away. No. 3 Engine was on fire and literally fell off the wing. (See 100th Photo Archives for photograph of the engine leaving the wing) The right landing gear also separated from the aircraft. 065 crashed 9 km southwest of Dieppe, France. The two KIAs were buried in the French Cemetery Longueil/Dieppe, France and were moved to the US Military Cemetery St. Andres/Evreaux.
