Navigator of the "Picklepuss" B-17.
He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Core as a cadet in December 1941, graduated as 2nd Lieutenant in October 1942 and joined the 100th Bomb Group. He flew 13 combat missions with the 8th Air Force and was shot down on August 17, 1943. He was a POW in Germany for two years.
He talks about the day he was shot down and some of his POW stories.
