Crash Scene by Bjorn Jacobsen
Missing Photo
Diorama of 100th BG aircraft by Bjorn Jacobsen As you have discovered, I first made the model of “Miss Conduct” as close to the real airplane as possible. As a matter of fact, a lot of research went into that build! Then I wanted to make a crash site with a B-17, and used the “Miss Conduct” because that was the one I had. I am well aware that the real “Miss Conduct” survived the war and I therefore changed the plane in the crash site to represent the B-17 in general, and not to be a particular aircraft. I painted over the name and noseart and made damages on the tail to disrupt the number. The crash site was supposed to be quite near the home base, hence all the “equipment” surrounding the plane.
