Representing U. S. Air Forces in Europe was Brigadier General Harold Q. Huglin, Assistant Chief of Staff, Major General Clayton E. Bissel, U. S. Military Attaché at American Embassy in London, represented General Carl A. Spaatz, AAF, Commanding General. High-ranking RAF officers and British dignitaries were at the dedication ceremony.
