Crash: Destroyed by flak on the bomb run. Wreckage found 300 meters south of Mannstedt or 20 km north of Weimar, Germany. Eight of the nine man crew were killed. They were initially buried eastern edge of the cemetery at Ottmannshausen and two were buried in the southern edge of the cemetery at Dansdorf uber/Buttelstedt. None of the casualties could be identified by the Germans. After the way Graves Registration units was unable to identify the airmen individually. They were re-interred in Ardennes as Unknown Plots V-12-294, Y-1-19, EE-6-130/134 and GG-5-115.
