Crew Notes
Phone conversation with Elmer Erickson (WG) on September 11, 1983 informed me (James R. Brown, Senior 100th Historian) that Parsons (pilot) developed severe sinus in the latter part of his tour and their co-pilot, George W. McLeod, took over the crew. Also that Jack Combs (TG) was wounded in the legs and might have been a POW. (jb) Reply to letter to Jack Combs September 19th, 1990. Jack says he was not a POW, was wounded "pretty good" in the legs, came back to the base and was sent to the States for treatment of his wounds. (jb)
