Crew Notes
All KIAs buried in the Cemetery of Geiper-Brunswick. Most of the crew could not be positively identified by the Germans. The casualties were all re-interred in Ardennes. The US Army Graves Registration Department was able to identify all of the casualties but could not discern Captain Roland T. Knight and T/Sgt Robert D. Longworth. They were placed in Ardennes, Plots D-10-230 and D-10-232 until they were moved to the USA at family requests. As they could not be positively identified individually they received a Group Burial in Fort Bliss National Cemetery at El Paso, Texas. (pw)
