"Aircraft #753 filled in as #3 in the 2nd element of the lead squadron. It was in position when we were over the target, but soon thereafter began to lag behind. At 1237 hours it pulled away to the right near Wiesbaden and began to lose altitude slowly. It was last seen on a heading of 330 degrees, still losing altitude, but under control. No chutes were seen. 1st Lt. Keel
No DataCrew joined 100th on 1 Dec 43 and flew its first mission 31 Dec 43. They were on their ninth mission on 4 Feb 44 to Frankfurt. Report pieced together from MACR: A/C struck ground near Maunchen Gladbach. All crew members in A/C for the crash landing -- there were no injuries. All survived and were returned to the USA. after VE Day.
