| A/C #127 received a direct flak hit behind #3 engine while ever the target. The A/C peeled off on its right wing slipping down 2,000 feet. One chute came out. Plane then started a controlled glide and 6 more chutes came out. A/C was seen to explode before reaching ground.. | ||
| No Data | Wilbur G. Dishneau appears to have been killed by flak in the Ball Turret. Jack Moore and Monroe T. Whidby were near the front escape hatch when the aircraft exploded and were blown out. Moore suffered a broken leg, whether in the explosion or upon hitting the ground is undetermined. |
