JOHN 'JACK' J. HESSIAN JR., 88 LOVES PARK - John "Jack" J. Hessian Jr., 88, of Loves Park died at 10:45 p.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012, in his home. Born Nov. 6, 1923, in Janesville, Wis., son of John J. and Grace (Churchill) Hessian Sr. Veteran of World War II, serving in England with the U.S. Army Air Corps 100th Bomb Group as a medic. Married Jacqueline "Jackie" S. Volbrecht on Aug. 2, 1948, in Manchester, Iowa. Retired from Atwood Vacuum Machine after 32 years. While employed with Atwood, he ran the Creative Car Corp., for four years. Jack was proud of his tenure as president of Atwood's Independent Union and was instrumental in implementing the Scanlon Plan for profit sharing. Member of American Legion and Clifford E. Johnson VFW Post 9759. Former member of Moose Club. Jack was an old car enthusiast, building and restoring numerous vehicles. Survivors include wife, Jackie; daughters, Leanne (Paul) Line of Appleton, Wis., Sue (Dr. John Dorsey) Hessian of Rockford, Jackie Hessian of Loves Park and Kelley (Jack Raino) Hessian of Carbondale; son, John (Yukiko Tanaka) Hessian of Schaumburg; grandchildren, Stephanie, Allison, Nick, Patrick, Hillary, Dan, Chris, Alec and Sam; four great-grandchildren; stepgrandchildren, Ben, J.T. Meaghan and Michael; in-laws, Ginny (Omar) Pfeiffer and Donna Pfeiffer; and numerous nieces and nephews
