Thomas E. Horak died on July 20, 2009, age 88, of Newtown Square, formerly of Berwyn and St. Davids, Pa. Mr. Horak was born on Jan. 5, 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio, where he attended St. Ignatius High School. Following graduation from the University of Notre Dame, he served three years in England during World War II with the Eighth Air Force Intelligence 100th Bomb Group. His decorations included Good Conduct Medal, ETO ribbon with six Battle Stars, Presidential Unit Citation with OLC and the French Croix de Guerre with Palm. After the war, he finished law school and was admitted to the Bar in Ohio and Illinois.
