On this Veteran's Day I am remembering my grandfather, Franklin Eugene Stifter, who served with the 350th Squadron / 100th Bomb Group / 8th Air Force in England during WWII. This photograph was taken at Thorpe Abbots in 1943. Grandpa passed away in 1995. We are very proud of him and we miss him dearly. His wife Edna, whom he married in England in 1944, is still living in California where they settled after the war. It would mean the world to be able to connect with any 100th Bomb Group Veterans who served with him.
