           Thanks so much for getting back to me so quickly.   I was 14 when my Father died in 1972 and he did not speak much of the war and did not keep a diary.  Recollections I have from other family members (some also from the 8th Army Air Corp) that he drove a 2 1/2 ton truck in the Transportation Unit.  I was told he did transport the flight crew to and from the aircraft.  I know for sure that following the surrender of Germany, he was reassigned to Berlin.  His limited service records available clearly indicates the 100th BG and 349th Squadron.  I know this doesn't help much but its all I have.   I found a silver certificate with his dog tags with signatures and a note "Buddies of the 349th" but I can't make out the spelling of the names. I have tried  searching many other ways with no results.  If you do locate anything in your search, I would be appreciate it very much.  My family and I plan a trip to Thorpe Abbotts soon.
