LELAND LARSON BEIK, there are a few items on Leland as being with the 100th Bomb Group as a pilot before going to Italy, with the 15th Air Force, 463rd Bomb Group . He is mentioned on the Veterans History Project website doing an interview in text only, mentions his joining the 100th Bomb Group after training at Sebring,Florida for B-17 Pilot. Intelligence was an area mentioned with the 100th I can find ZIP on him in the 100th BG Database. Do you have anything? 1942 Pilots training photo of him. Also mentioned on the Veterans Affairs facebook page as a Veteran of the day in Sept 2016....

from Boise Idaho Leland was in the 100th BG then went to Intel at the 100th BG and to Harrisburg,PA for Combat Intelligence training and then back to the 100th BG, then went to the 463rd BG that was just forming..... A B-17 Co-pilot trained that went to Intel with the 100th BG Probably only place you will find him, in addition to a possible transfer order to the 100th BG or out of it....Jack O'Leary
