-- In June 1944, PVT Max Reisman was assigned to the 100th BG - 418th Bomb Squadron, with his MOS listed as "radio mechanic". I don't have any details as to where he was transferred from. 



 Max Reisman, born in Philadelphia PA  on Sep 18, 1913, died on Apr 23, 2012 (spelling, place, and dates confirmed).



·        His Army Serial Number was 33173575 (confirmed with online US WWII Veterans’ Compensation Bureau records).



He entered active service on Mar 12, 1942 as a Private.The service school he attended listed him as AAF radio operator and mechanic and AAF camouflage. His Military occupational specialty # is 2756.



His date of separation from service was Sep 19, 1945 at the Ft. Indian Town Gap, PA separation center.At some point, the paperwork she has shows him assigned to the 390th BG, 569th Sq, but she says his separation papers show him discharged from the AAF, 100th BG, 418th Sq.



·        She has his separation papers. He also told her he was in the 100th.  She has a roster of people from PA:  names #1-9 were assigned to 336th  BS, #10-21 were assigned to 568th BS, #22-28 were assigned to 569th BS. Her father was name #28.



Other tidbits are less helpful. She sees a reference to the 336th BS Air Eschelon in Sioux Falls SD. She has some photos with him and some friends. The friends are not on our website, so that’s why I pressed further to find out where he was serving. The friends included someone named “Mackin,” Frank Brick (also a piano player in a band), Albert “Moe” Puncsak, and “Carver” (not sure if that’s his first name or surname). One picture shows them on KP duty “PA231.”
