Reminisence of Sgt Osuna at 8th Air Force Historical Society Reunion 2010:
Kramp- threw a brick out of window on every misson. He wrote " take that".

S/Sgt Oliver E.Wainio always had to go to the bathroom and used my chaff box. He wanted to throw it out the bombay but it smelled to bad!

Tail gunner ask Paul Kramp if you would know if you weere hit. We all were worried, we could not get back to him. He saw a flak hole between his legs but could not see an exit hole. we worried all the way home. When we landed, we got Martino out and as he exited, he saw that just over his right shoulder was a hole where the flak burst exited the plane.

Paul kramp was from Chicago and I thought he was a gangster, He even looked like a gangser and I thought everyone from chicago was a gangster. He was 5'4" but was stern pilot when giving orders. Good pilot.

Bombardier was removed from flying status after 12 missions, he would come back into the radio compatment after dropping bombs and bury his face in his hands, a nervous wreck, they sent him back to states.

Co pilot was a bit jittry, paul was all business.

Hardest part was coming back to barracks and they were taking out the belongings of those who were lost. It affected you, you wondered if you were next. We lost 6-7 crews in our barracks. You stopped getting close to new crews because it was tough to lose friends. Crews always worried about Berlin but there were other targets like Mersburg that I thought were rougher.
