John (Jack) R Gensel born 4June 1921 died 11 Aug 2009  son is John Preston Gensel, Soldotna Alaska.



Jack was a top turret gunner, did all his tour including the D-Day landing, which he volunteered to fly. He told me he had never seen so many airplanes all together. He was a good man. I have tried to contact his daughter to see if his death had been reported but did not get a responce, so just in case it hasn't been reported I am sending this email. I worked with Jack at the White Alice site 17 in Soldotna Alaska.   thanks
