Obituary
Hacker, Charles R.
Charles Robert Hacker, retired motion picture executive, died on January 26, 2015 in Greenwich, CT at age 94. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jean; his daughter Barbara Jean Jansen and her husband, Gregory of Cos Cob; his son, Charles Robert Hacker, Jr., his wife, Catherine, and grandchildren Catrina, Charlotte, Carys and Claire of Greenwich; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Robert W. Hacker, of Phoenix, AZ.
Charles was born October 8, 1920 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Emil Henry and Lillian Meta (Strothoff) Hacker.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II from November 5, 1942 through September 20, 1945 as a Lieutenant and was navigator in the famed "Bloody 100th" Bomb Group in the European Theatre.
