Only flew 3 missions with this crew and was replaced by different bombardiers and togglers. My feeling is that Lt Richmond became a squadron Bombardier and flew with many different lead crews….mpf

Memo 2:
2nd Lt. Albert E. Richmond, O-772883
Joined the 100th BG on 28 July 1944 by Special Order of AAF Station 139 No. 202, as bombardier of 2nd Lt Donald N. Ellison (crew No. 82 / later changed as No. 58), 351st Bomb Squadron

In 100th BG archival records are 9 trackable missions flown by Lt. Richmond flown during August and September 1944. It is sure that during these two months he did not flew any other combat mission, because loading lists for those months are well complete.

1.
First combat mission was flown on 11 August 1944 to Villacoublay (Ellison crew).
Plane: 42-31530 „Quittin Time“

2.
14 August 1944, Ludwigshaven, a/c 42-31767 „Our Gal Sal“ (Ellison crew)

Sometime after that second mission he was re-assigned to Lt. E. L. Thompson crew (No. 49). The original bombardier of Thompson crew, Lt. H. A. Smith had replaced Lt. Richmond in his original crew… so it seems the reason was personal disharmony in one of these crews (unable to tell in which one).

3.
24 August 1944, Ruhland, a/c 44-6295 „White Cargo“ (Thompson crew)

4.
25 August 1944, Politz, a/c 44-6295 „White Cargo“ (Thompson crew)

5.
26 August 1944, Brest, a/c 44-6295 „White Cargo“ (Thompson crew)

6.
30 August 1944, Brest, a/c 44-6295 „White Cargo“ (Thompson crew)

7.
10 September 1944, Nurnberg, a/c 43-38124 (Thompson crew)

8.
25 September 1944, Ludwigshaven, a/c 43-38124 (Thompson crew)

9.
27 September 1944, a/c 43-37815 „You Can't Lose“ (Thompson crew)

All other surviving records for late weeks and months are very vague and does not contains crew loading lists or other information that may identify which missions were flown by Lt. Richmond, Anyway, there is a list for March 1945 indicating Lt. Richmond as the „Lucky Bastard“ or „Happy Warrior“ finishing his tour of duty with 33 missions completed in rank of 1st Lt during that month.
As indicated above, there are five planes flown by Lt. Richmond (I believe, there were more):

42-31530 „Quittin Time“ EP-X
42-31767 „Our Gal Sal“ EP-E
44-6295 „White Cargo“ EP-B
43-38124 (no name, some time referred as „Kramp´s Tramps“) EP-S
43-37815 „You Can't Lose“ EP-L
