I personally had his jacket with the name on it. I also have a photo of it. He flew in 2nd Lt. Donald N. Ellison crew from what I could see from your list of crews. It also looks like they finished their tours same time. Both my parents are deceased now, Dad died April 13th, 1967. The citation he got with the air medal was signed by General Partridge and General Savage. I didn't find out a lot until after he died the VA marker had AM & 4 OLC on it. That’s when I found out they were medals. I remember watching 12 O'clock high at our house was like sacred. I really learned an appreciation for what my Dad and his fellow air men did for our Country during the 50 anniversary of D-day. Dad didn't speak a lot about the war in detail. There are crew shots he has a photo also of a mission to Russia and wrote on the back of that all the names of the crew. I'm currently in Wisconsin. I have all the photos in New Jersey. I will have my friend send them to me. All I have left is the photos and his sergeants patch and the 8th Army Air Corp patch. There is also a few old newspaper articles my Grandmother clipped. My ex-husband threw away his metals on me. So they are gone. I will help in anyway I can

Thanks
Suzanne

P.S. I will pay the shipping. remember seeing a B-17 from the confederate air force I went in it and got to sit in the radio operators seat it was very moving to me. I have been trying to find someone to give these photos to for some time and just yesterday saw you name as the 100th BG historian like a godsend. I was at the WWII memorial this summer and wished I could do something. I thank you for what you are doing

Dear Michael 7/13/2005

My Father Flew with the 100th Bomb Group 8th Army Air Corp. He was a radio operator on the Bomber Nasty Nan, he flew 32 bombing combat missions and earned the air metal with four oak leaf clusters. His name was Staff Sergeant Robert W. Wolf, dad was a huge photography nut. I have a lot of pictures he took over in Europe. I'm so happy to have found you to help me preserve this bit of history I have. Some of the photos have the mission he went on and the men's name who went with him. With the writing Dad put on the backs of the photos, I want you to have the originals. I have to say I am extremely proud of my father and his memory. Please let me know how I can get you these photos.

Thank You very much

Suzanne M. Wolf

Suzanne,
You are a GODSEND. We would be VERY HONORED to keep your Fathers legacy in the 100th BG alive and well. My Big Questions, is there a Crew Shot in the photos? Secondly, do you have a complete list of your Dad's missions? Third, you speak of your Father in the past tense and we have no record of his passing? If he has passed, can you give us the dates for our Taps section? Forth, you mention a bomber by the name of Nasty Nan, this is a NEW NAME for us, do you have a tail number for this plane or a photo of her? I am sorry I am asking so many questions but this email is exciting to me when a piece of history will fill in so many gaps we have. Suzanne, would you please send the photos by Fedex and use my account number, these are one of a kind and I want nothing to happen to them:
