Student Officer: Corporal at Douglas, in Squadron C, and Snow White and Walt Huffmann were his Instructors. He had Basic at Cochran Field, Macon and graduated at Moody Field, Valdosta, GA, S/N: O-818291, and went to the 3rd A.F., 88th Bomb Group at Avon Park, Fla. to learn B-17’s. He was assigned to the 418th Bomber Sqdn, 100th Bomb Group based in Thorpe Abbot, England. He flew 34 missions over France, Germany, and other countries. He returned to the states and instructed in instrument flying. He was discharged in July 1945.
