Originally assigned to 100th BG in June 1943. Flew three missions with group before being transferred to 303rd BG 100th Bomb Group "The Bloody Hundredth" - Jaybird 303rd Bomb Group "Hell's Angels"- "Satan's Workshop" & crew group shot. Aircraft serial no. 42-29931. On a mission to bomb a German aircraft factory in Aschersleben, Germany, February 22nd 1944, her engine No. 2 was knocked out by flak. The plane and her crew were last seen lagging behind on the return trip and ditched in rough sea. All 10 airmen aboard were killed.
