G.W."Buck" Cleven's 1939 British Jerkin, customized by Buck. (Bob Trombi's photos of it at the New Orleans Reunion.) We were hoping someone would have a photo of Buck wearing it at TA or more likely at a 100th BG Reunion. Carol Batley averted her eyes from looking at what was done to the British Jerkin,Buck had black leather pockets attached that match the black in his BS patch, name tag.. To my knowledge its never been seen before this reunion. Check your dads photos please for Buck wearing it. Buck wouldn't go through the trouble of adding the 350th BS patch Command Pilots name tag, pockets and not wear it. (I suspect Buck received it from an RAF Thorpe Abbotts based airman, fellow officer when the base was turned over to the USAAF from the RAF in July, 1943)

I just put Gale W. "BUCK" CLEVEN's 1939 BRITISH JERKIN on to show Mike something, 4 Button that Buck had Black Leather outer pockets added to, as well as his 350th Bomb Squadron original 1943 patch, Master Pilot leather name tag, little sung on me with only the bottom two buttons buttoned of the four and only a t-shirt....Would LOVE a service time photo of Buck wearing it. The leather is still baby soft with the blanket inner lining
NOTE: The Tag is marked fits 5-7 to 5-10, SIZE Number 2, ( I'm 6-5 1/2 )
