Birthplace: County Tyrone, Ireland
Philip J. Donnelly was killed at the age of 21 years old. He left domestic service on February 21, 1944 and arrived to the ETO on February 22, 1944. His body was repatriated aboard the US Army Transport Carroll Victory in August 1949. He is buried in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Easton Rd and City Line, Montgomery County, PA. Section 26, Lot 23, Grave #1

The aircraft was lost in a mid-air collision with the A/C (#42-39830) flown by Lt Paul A. Martin of the 350th Sqdn. The entire nose section of the Stuke A/C plus both left engines were torn off in the collision.
